Advent and Christmas

We would love to see you at any (or all!) of our events throughout Advent and Christmas.

There is a selection of formal services and informal, more family-friendly ones and each of our churches in the Benefice has something this Christmas.

All our events are free.

we’re looking forward to return of our Christmas Trees in St Johns.

These will be up from the beginning of December and voting slips will be available for you to vote throughout December. We will be announcing the winner at our carol service on Sunday 22nd December. Please do come and see the wonderful creations from different groups in our town.

A Very Quiet Christmas - this will be an opportunity to find space and quiet in the busyness of the season. The service of Holy Communion will have no hymns or carols and will be reflective in style.

At 3pm on Saturday 14th December, outside Kelsale Church we will be holding ‘A Very Muddy Christmas!’

What’s that? I hear you ask.

It’ll be outdoor, family focused, fairly short event. It will involve building ‘stables’ with sticks and things we can find, we’ll create a star (or two), we’ll share hot chocolate and generally have fun as we think about Christmas in a different way.

Everyone of all ages are welcome, there is no cost, do wrap up warm!

On Christmas Eve we’re having our Crib Service at 3pm in St Johns, Saxmundham.

This is for all ages and children are invited to dress up as a nativity character or anything they wish to join in telling the Christmas story.

We’d love to see you there!
